Dr. Megan (Meg) McDonald is a graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (2013; D.C with Clinic and Dean’s List Honours) and Saint Francis Xavier University (2009; B.Sc. with Distinction; Academic All-Canadian while competing in Varsity Volleyball). Her lifestyle is a testament to her belief that physical fitness and an active lifestyle are an important part of well-being and injury prevention.
To ensure that each patient receives high quality, individualized, and evidence-based treatment, Dr. Meg employs a full range of techniques into her patients’ treatment plans, including Medical Acupuncture, Active Release Techniques (ART), spinal and extremity manipulation, Kinesiotaping, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), and rehabilitation and strength training. She looks at the body as an integrated functional unit and knows how to get to the root of her patients’ issue(s) to ensure long-lasting and rapid results.
In her former Toronto practice, Dr. Meg worked with professional athletes of the NBA and NBL, as well as with Canadian Olympic and Pan-American athletes from various sports, and track and field athletes from Team Canada, Team Jamaica Bickle, and Team Dominica, through treating in the clinic as well as providing on-site care. Dr. Meg has also worked closely with Toronto-based professional recording artists and musicians, as well as actors in theatre productions including Les Misérables, The Heart of Robin Hood, The Music Man, and Matilda.
Dr. Meg is passionate about working with her patients of all ages and ability levels to identify and diagnose the root cause of problems, and not to simply treat the symptoms. She takes great pride in empowering her patients to be active participants to return to a pain-free way of life with optimal health.
